Don't forget to listen to my music...

Thomas Becker's music. Electronic, new age, chill-out, ambient, trance, ...

...it's free!

Instructions:

It is possible to view the videos online, in streaming, thanks to the YouTube box.
To download a video and keep it on your hard disk, right-click on its name in the list and select "save target as". Using instead left-click, the video will be opened directly by your media player, but you won't conserve the file after viewing. This instructions may vary depending on the browser you're using, and on installed programs (e.g. a download manager)
.

Usually a greater file size indicates "better quality" (please be patient when downloading big files -- it may take a lot of time, specially if you have a slow internet connection).

The productions are displayed in anti-chronological order (Worlds Of Wonders is the last).

Worlds Of Wonders

Here you can download my first musical videoclip, "Worlds Of Wonders" (music: my tune "Vision", post-produced by Stefano Papetti), available in various formats and file sizes, for various exigencies.
You'll be able to explore some fractal worlds, i.e. images (like these to the left) realized with particular mathematical formulae. But there's more than just images... I've prepared almost six minutes of computer-graphical animations.
Have a nice view!

Notes:
(1) The video was done with Chaos Pro by Martin Pfingstl.
(2) In the wallpapers section of this site, you can find many fractal images for your desktop, or just to look at.

You are allowed to copy, distribute and display the "Hardcore" 64k intro as much as you wish, in any kind of occasion, except for commercial purposes.

Hardcore 64k

Hardcore is a so-called 64k intro, i.e. a kind of multimedia creation realized by programmers, graphicians and musicians, with the imposed limitation of not exceeding 64 kilobytes of executable file size. Executable, because it isn't a video recording (at least originally), but a program which generates graphic effects in real-time, through algorythms prepared by the programmers. To this are added a soundtrack and -- often -- some still images.

Hardcore was done around year 1998, by members of the Commodore Amiga scene group called Nah-Kolor, and has made it to first place at the "64k intro" competition at the Spoletium '98 party.

Here are the names of the persons who participated at its creation, apart from me (known those times as Stun), who did the sound ("Turbulence Tonight").

  • Hedgehog (programming)
  • Metal Designer (programming)
  • Scouttalms (programming)
  • Danny (graphics)
  • Frame (graphics)
  • Fra (3d graphics)
  • Tudor (3d graphics)

(I apologize to those who don't appear in the final credits in the video recordings, which have been added by me and were not present in the original intro. Unfortunately at the moment of the creation of the video files I didn't know the names of all the people mentioned here above.)

I make here available three kinds of formats: video recordings in various formats (for PC and Mac), original Commodore Amiga executable, ADF file for WinUAE Amiga emulator.

Screen shot (2) of the Psycho Rifle 40k intro

You are allowed to copy, distribute and display the "Psycho Rifle" 40k intro as much as you wish, in any kind of occasion, except for commercial purposes.

Psycho Rifle 40k

Psycho Rifle is a 40k intro for Commodore Amiga, i.e. it's a multimedia creation of the same kind of the Hardcore 64k intro (read the section dedicated to this for more info on intros in general), with the difference that the imposed file size limit is lower, i.e. 40 kilobytes.

Psycho Rifle was done in 1995, and then released at The Party '95 in Denmark (a computer-freaks meeting), where it reached 4th place in the 40k competition.

I did the soundtrack, a kind of hardcore metal, similar to that of the Hardcore intro (which I did later). Those times, as I mentioned elsewhere, I was known by the nick of Stun. Psycho Rifle has been my first intro.

The following people, as well as myself, participated at the creation of Psycho Rifle:

  • Hedgehog (programming)
  • Metal Designer (programming)
  • Fra (graphics)
  • Lry (graphics)

We all were members of the Biosynthetic Design group.

Here below you can choose your preferred format for downloading. It's also available the original Commodore Amiga executable.

You are allowed to copy, distribute and display the "Tenebra" demo as much as you wish, in any kind of occasion, except for commercial purposes.

Tenebra

Tenebra is a demo realized with and for Commodore Amiga computers, by the Italian group Biosynthetic Design.

Conceptually a "demo" is similar to intros, of which I write in the sections above, with the difference that there are no imposed file size limitations (thus it can usually last longer and have more contents). In short, also a demo is an artistic multimedia creation, which the computer processes in real-time, so it is not a video recording but a program.

Tenebra was done in year 1995, and released at the competition of Somewhere In Holland '95 party. With "party" I mean here a kind of meeting of creatives in the computer field. Tenebra got to 4th place in the "Amiga demo" category.

The creators of Tenebra are:

  • Hedgehog (design, coding)
  • Metal Designer (design, coding)
  • Lry (graphics)
  • Dixie Flatline (graphics)
  • Fra (graphics)
  • Parsec (design, storyboard, music and graphics)
  • Stun aka Thomas Becker (additional sound FX)

You may find Tenebra quite primitive graphically, but think that it was done in 1995, and the computers of that time were much less powerful than modern ones.
